5 [were baptised] in the river Clywedog, by the Rev.W.Morton; one young girl came forward at the time, through the midst of the crowd, singing 'Following Jesus, this is heaven for the family of God’ [hymn quotation]. She was a faithful and useful member with the Calvinistic Methodists, but had come to a decision that there was no complete way to follow without obeying the express order of the Great Head of the church. The scene was a thrilling one, which will not be soon forgotten by those who were there.

Mawrth 19eg, 5, yn afon Cywedog, gan y Parch W. Morton, daeth un ferch ieuanc yn miaen ar y pryd trwy ganol y dorf tan ganu, 'Dilyn lesu,' dyma nefoedd teutu Duw.' Yr oedd hi yn aelod ffyddiawn a deinyddiol gyda'r Methodistiaid Calfinaidd, ond daeth i benderfyniad naci oedd modd cyflawn ddilyn heb ufuddhau i orchymyn pendant Pen Mawr yr eglwys. Yr oedd yr olygfa yn un wefreiddiol, nid angnofir yn fuan gan y rhai oedd yno.
