I spent Monday evening and Tuesday, Feb 6th and 7th, in the above area, which is my native area. First of all I met my former contemporaries at Capel y Graig at a Monday evening meeting that I shall not soon forget. The congregation was an excellent one, and soon after the service had begun I felt that the heat of the Revival had arrived there. After I had given the sermon I opened the meeting, and no sooner had I done this, than a number of the young people of both sexes were ready to address the Old Throne. There were boys, girls and women, and everyone for that matter, with their hearts burning; and the feeling of the fire was in their words and in their praise. I had never experienced such feelings in this old chapel that is so sacred to me. I do not know how close to the earth the 'cloud of witnesses' moves, but I felt that night as though it was quite close to us. I felt the presence of the dear old elders and others. They are sure to be in the 'cloud,' but I never felt so much of their value and greatness before as I felt at this meeting. I believe it was a meeting I shall be glad to look back on in years to come. Tuesday afternoon (7th), at 2 o'clock, there was a meeting in the chapel at Cwm Einion. We had a good turnout there, considering how out-of-the-way it is. Great changes have come over this old Cwm during the last twenty years, and the change has had a great effect on the little chapel. Only a few people now live in the Cwm, and few attend the chapel, but those few are faithful and look forward to a better time. We had quite a comfortable meeting, and we were not allowed to leave there without feeling the heat of the revival breaking out in intense prayers. The Tuesday evening meeting was to be at the Wesleyan chapel, which is, by the way, this is the most elegant chapel in the entire district. It was here, possibly, that we had the most powerful meeting; and at one point the influence was overwhelming, between the warm prayers of the dear young people and the Amens and tears of the old. After the service in the chapel ended at about ten o'clock, the congregation turned their faces towards the village, and having formed a circle there, they sang a number of the old tunes until the whole valley was filled with the sound of praise.

Treuliais nos Lun a dydd Mawrth, Chwef. 6, 7, yn yr ardal uchod, sef fy ardal enedigol. Yn Capel y Graig y cyfarfyddais gyntaf a'm hen gyfoedion nos Lun mewn cyfarfod nad anghofiaf mohono ar frys. Yr oedd y cynulliad yn rhagorol, ac nid hir y bum wedi dechreu ar y gwasanaeth, heb deimlo fod gwres y Diwygiad wedi cyraedd yno. Wedi gorphen y bregeth rhoddwyd y cyfarfod yn rhydd, ac nid cynt y gwnaethum hyny nad oedd nifer o'r bobl ieuainc o'r ddau ryw yn barod i anerch yr Hen Orsedd. Yr oedd y bechgyn, y merched, a'r gwragedd, a phawb o ran hyny, a'u calonau yn llosgi; ac yr oedd naws y tan yn eu geiriau, a'u mawl. Ni bum erioed yn y fath deimladau yn yr hen gapel sydd mor gysegredig i mi. Ac nis gwn pa mor agos i'r ddaear y mae y cwmwl tystion' yn symud, ond yr oeddwn fel pe yn teimlo y noson hono ei fod yn bur agos atom. Yr oedd yr hen flaenoriaid anwyl ac eraill yn bresenol i mi. Y maent yn sicr o fod yn y 'cwmwl,' ond ni theimlais gymaint o'u gwerth a'u mawredd erioed, yn y cyfarfod hwn. Credwyf ei fod yn gyfarfod ac y bydd yn felus genym edrych yn ol arno ymhen blynyddoedd i ddod. Prydnawn dydd Mawrth (7fed), am 2 o'r gloch, yr oedd cyfarfod yn nghapel Cwmeinion. Cawsom yno gynulliad da, ac ystyried anghyfleusdra y lle. Mawr yw y cyfnewidiadau sydd wedi dod dros yr hen Gwm hwn yn ystod yr ugain mlynedd diweddaf, ac y mae y cyfnewidiad wedi effeithio yn fawr ar y capel bach. Ychydig erbyn hyn yw trigolion y Cwm, ac ychydig sydd yn mynychu y capel, ond y mae yr ychydig yn ffyddlon ac yn disgwyl amser gwell. Cafwyd odfa weddol gysurus, ac ni chawsom fyned oddiyno heb deimlo gwres y diwygiad yn tori allan mewn gweddiau dwysion. Nos Fawrth yr oedd y cyfarfod i fod yn nghapel y Wesley aid; a chyda llaw dyma'r capel mwyaf destlus yn yr holl gylch. Dichon mai yma y cawsom y cyfarfod cryfaf; ac ar un adeg yr oedd y dylanwad yn llethol. Cydrhwng gweddiau gwresog y bobl ieuainc anwyl, Amenau a dagrau yr hen. Ar ol gorphen tua deg o'r gloch y gwasanaeth yn y capel, trodd y gynulleidfa ei gwyneb tua'r pentref, ac yno wedi ffurfio yn gylch.
