Town Hall - Hadleigh (1861)

On the following evening a meeting was held in the town hall at Hadleigh, which although holding a thousand people was found too small; several had to go away disappointed for want of room. Here the Lord fought His own battle mightily, Backsliders, drunkards, prostitutes, old men and women, and professors, were moved by the Holy Spirit to anxiety about their souls; some were quite broken down; many professed to find Jesus that same night, others, anxious to know more about Jesus, met next morning at filled some place for individual conversation, many were brought to Jesus, how many, that day alone will declare.
