The Lord's people will be rejoiced to hear that a good work is going on in the City of Norwich and in various parts of the county of Norfolk. In the parish of St Benedict's, Norwich, the Lord is giving showers of blessing in answer to prayers. During the last month there have been at least fifty souls brought to close with Christ's offer of salvation, and are now rejoicing in the Lord. Prayer meetings are held in the vestry of this church before every service, and after the sermon inquirers are invited to adjourn to the school-room, where a few of the Lord's people meet them and point them to the Lamb of God. At Potter Heigham wondrous things have been done in the name of Jesus. The incumbent of this parish writes thus to a brother clergyman:- "The Lord is pouring out his blessings exceedingly. At the Lord's-table may now be seen those who once were thieves, adulterers, Sabbath-breakers, and swearers. It is indeed marvellous in my eyes, but it is the Lord's work, and to Him be all the glory." At South Walsham and the neighbouring parishes, the Lord has sent many labourers into his vineyard whose works of faith He owns in a very special manner. Many who are now engaged in the Lord's work here have reason to bless God for sending his servant Rev. W. Haslam into this county. By his instrumentality some have been led from Sinai to Calvary - from the bondage of the law to the glorious freedom of the sons of God. We praise God for his wondrous works among the children of men and pray for a still more abundant blessing.
