On the evening of Saturday, and during Sabbath last, meetings were held in the Free Church (Rev. Mr. Dewar's), on the evening of Saturday, at which several interesting addresses were delivered to a crowded audience. A prayer meeting was held in the church on Sabbath morning previous to the forenoon services, and in the forenoon, the Rev. Mr Williamson of Huntly, preached in the Free Church, which was well filled. An open-air meeting was held in the afternoon, on the market stance, which was attended by a large concourse of people. The assemblage was addressed by the Rev. Mr Williamson, Huntly; Messrs Radcliffe, Matheson, Sutherland, and Major Conran. At a subsequent stage of the proceedings, Mr Radcliffe retired to the church for the purpose of conversing with "anxious inquirers," a large party following him. The open-air meeting lasted till about eight o'clock, and on its conclusion the greater part of the people repaired to the church, which was found inadequate to contain them, and consequently several gentlemen addressed those who were unable to gain admission at the door, while several parties in the church engaged in prayer for the outpouring of the Divine Spirit. The meeting was prolonged till a late hour. The Elgin Courier.
