Nigg (1903)

The religious life of Nigg has been experiencing a time of remarkable spiritual quickening. Night after night for the past ten weeks the scattered population of this rural parish have gathered together under the guidance of the Rev. Donald Gollan and in such numbers Killearn as to leave no standing room in the place of meeting. Boys of school age were there; rows of seats Cromarty by young men and women from the surrounding farms; while sitting on the front benches were aged folk who could recall earnest ministries and religious movements of bygone days. Old men prayed; so also did the young; men long on the WayDingwall men newly entered upon the narrow path. No division! No jealousies! No suspicions! And today in Nigg there are seen glad evidences of the Grace of God.
