A GOOD work is going on here. For some months occasional conversions have been taking place, but during the last three weeks the drops have become a little shower. On the 20th of June, two agents of the Scottish Evangelistic Association, Messrs Smith and T. Stewart, came to us. They were with us a week, and during their visit addresses were given daily, at the quarries at the dinner hour, and in the Free Church to children at six P.M., and to adults at eight P.M. Since they left, evangelistic services have been held every evening. The third week of meetings has just closed, and I have to testify with great joy that the Lord's goings have been seen amongst us. The attendance has been good throughout. At the after-meetings many inquirers have been conversed with; and of these, nearly all seem to have found peace in believing. I know about thirty who profess to have decided for Christ within these three weeks. Half of them are young men. New cases are still occurring and God's people are earnestly requested while praising the Lord with us for what He has already done, to join us in praying that we may see yet greater things than these.
