Correspondence sent us a long and very pleasing account of a great practical revival that has taken place at Hatton Le Hole, a large colliery village. The instrument of this religious reformation is a Miss McKinney, who is said to be a most able, and willing preacher of the gospel. For nine weeks, this devoted lady has been addressing the people of Hatton in the Primitive Methodist chapel – a large building, holding over 1,200 persons when full– and it has been repeatedly crowded with men and women, anxious to hear her. Already we are informed some 300 adults and a considerable number of younger people have been added to the church. The majority of the converts are said to have been of the disorderly and depraved class. The whole religious community of the place are expressing their grateful joy.
