Great blessing has resulted from the special services held here from January 19th to 30th by Thomas Johnson. The meetings, which began with only about 150, increased nightly to quite 1000 or more, mostly working men. Great quietness and earnestness characterised these meetings, both in the preacher and the audiences; and the absence of excitement will, it is trusted, lead to the good received being of a permanent nature. All classes have benefited, and numbers confess to have become partakers of the clear light of the Gospel of Christ.
The noon-day prayer meetings have been well attended.
