Arnold - Salvation Army (1879)

Another district close by, on following Sunday. I was assured, from different sources, of the very rough reception the Army would receive here - that there was only one other place in the county that was as rough and devilish. People who knew were sure that the mob would not allow open-air meetings and the like. So we were forewarned to get good and ample protection for what we did and be very cautious how we did anything at all. However, the little Gospel Trumpet and her colleague went to Arnold, trusting in Jesus and had victory and thirty souls.
