Huntly (1841)

In August 1841, Murray McCheyne came to Huntly to take the Communion. 'McCheyne was enabled to preach with remarkable power; the impression on the congregational was general and the number of inquirers large.' About 100 waited after the sermon for prayer, many of them in deep anxiety.

Additional Information

I seem to remember there was an outdoor place at Huntly that held large meetings. I have marked a natural-looking 'well' where it may have taken place.
