"Already in October 1821, fifty persons had received the blessing of pardon in the Windsor circuit, and scores in the Hammersmith circuit had obtained the same salvation; there prevailed everywhere a more earnest spirit of religion; and the piety of various individuals had acquired, through Mr Smith's example, a deeply interesting and useful character." Such is the statement of the friend from whom I have already quoted so much at length, as to the spiritual prosperity which presented itself, almost immediately after the re-appointment of Mr S. to this circuit.
