Sancreed (1832)

John Wesley only seems to have visited Sancreed once in 1768.

Revival came to the town in 1832. The circuit minister relates, 'The next place was Sancreed. Here the chapel is surrounded by a scattered population; our society was in a very drooping condition, and the chapel well nigh forsaken. The Leaders received a fresh baptism of the Spirit, and became mighty in prayer. Their classes were greatly quickened; the congregations greatly increased; the word became quick and powerful, and upwards of twenty have been truly converted and added to the church.'

Additional Information

I do not know where the meetings were held.
