Charles and John Wesley spoke in Gulval a few times but had only temporary success. John wrote in his journal on September 8th 1757, 'I preached at six to a numerous congregation at Ludgvan. Some years since, when there was a flourishing society at Gulval (the parish adjoining), there was none here at all. But how the scene is changed! In Gulval not one class, not one member remains; in Ludgvan there is a lively society!
I do not know where the meetings were held.
