Moneymore (1859)

The first manifestation of revival here was the prostration of a notorious drunkard who was the terror of the whole locality and a frequent inmate of the local “lock-up.” After several hours he recovered and found regenerating peace through the sin-pardoning blood of Christ. His whole being was transformed and his countenance shone with the glory of the Lord. This remarkable conversion had a tremendous effect on the entire district and soon many were under the influence of the awakening. Openair meetings were held on the “Fair Hill” and through the word spoken there, many found eternal salvation.
