James Caughey Scarborough meetings (1845)

From York Mr Caughey retired to Scarborough, to obtain a little rest; but the good people there prevailed upon him to preach several times, with the hearty sanction of the Rev. John Walsh, the superintendent, and nearly two hundred were saved. After a week’s stay, he left Scarborough on the 8th of October,

Additional Information

I am fairly sure the meetings took place in the Centenary Chapel that was built in 1839 to supercede the St Mary's St Chapel where John Wesley preached in 1759, 1761, 1764 and 1790. It held 1,800 people.

I do not know where in Queen St the chapel stood.
