"Thurs. 27. — Preached at Chapel Town in the evening. A vast crowd attended. Here God is doing wonders. Near fifty persons have lately been added to the society, who have, I trust, a sincere concern for their salvation. The Church Minister opposes the work, and preaches against inward experimental religion, and but this only seems to make the truth shine with brighter lustre. Truth is mighty and will prevail.
