St Ervan (1818)

Elizabeth Dart went to Saint Ervan in June, and the Lord made bare His arm in the salvation of many. No sooner did one of the first persons set at liberty begin to pray in his family and his wife cried for mercy, and in less than half an hour was rejoicing in a sin-pardoning God. On the second visit, a few weeks later, the evangelist found the people hungry and thirsting for the bread and water of life. They were formed into a class, and many others believed because of their word. The work for the West was still gloriously progressing, and in many meetings, the presence of God was so delightfully realised, that the penitents were sometimes too numerous to be counted. Not infrequently audiences of several hundred gathered in the open, and the workers were so cheered that they gave expression to their belief that all would soon know the Lord from the least to the greatest.
