Killearn (1742)

At the parish of Killearn, about sixteen miles north from Glasgow, at that time under the pastoral inspection of Mr James Bain, there was a considerable awakening at the dispensation of the Lord's supper, on the third Sabbath of 1 July 1742. This was particularly the case on the Monday when sermons were delivered by Mr Michael Potter, professor of divinity in the University of Glasgow, and Mr Mackie, minister of St. Ninians.
